About
A web agency that only builds for construction.
Not because niching is good marketing — though it is — but because construction buying behaviour is genuinely unusual, and an agency that also builds dentist websites will never learn it.
Why we exist
Generic agencies build brochures. Construction buyers are risk-averse.
Most agencies approach a contractor website the way they approach any other: hero photograph, mission statement, three columns of benefits, contact form. It looks fine. It is also built on an assumption that does not hold here — that the visitor is a customer deciding whether they want what you sell.
In construction the visitor is usually someone reducing risk. A procurement contact deciding whether to let you bid. An owner’s representative verifying a referral. A journeyman deciding whether you are a serious place to work. None of them are browsing. All of them are looking for a reason to say no, because saying no is cheap and being wrong is expensive.
Nobody hires a general contractor because the website was attractive. They shortlist you because the website removed doubt faster than the next three did. That is a design problem, and it has a different answer than the one most agencies give.
The parent company
We are part of Clio Websites, and we will say so before you ask.
Construction Industry Websites is operated by Clio Data Solutions Ltd., trading as Clio Websites, a Calgary web design company that has been building and maintaining sites since 2007. More than 700 sites have gone through that business.
Some agencies hide the parent company behind a brand and hope nobody checks. To this audience that is exactly backwards: contractors verify companies for a living, and finding out later that a supplier obscured its corporate structure is a far worse discovery than being told plainly up front.
What you get from the arrangement is a specialist team with nearly two decades of infrastructure behind it — hosting, maintenance, backups, support — rather than a two-person shop that disappears when someone takes a holiday.
Our team
The people who will actually build your site.
No account manager reselling the work to a subcontractor you never meet. Design, development, content and project management sit on one team — roots in Calgary, contractors across Canada.
-
Nat Miletic
Founder
Has been building and shipping websites since 2007, and still reviews every contractor build before it goes live. The bias is toward measurable outcomes — rankings, load time, invitations to bid — over design that only impresses other designers.
-
Dusan Ilic
Client Manager
The person your office actually deals with. Keeps content, approvals and revisions moving so a build never stalls waiting on an estimator who has been on site all week.
-
Naville Valladares
Project Manager
Keeps builds on schedule and makes sure a contractor always knows exactly what stage the site is at — the reason a 4–8 week timeline stays a 4–8 week timeline.
-
Marko Denic
Technical Consultant
Translates a contractor’s business goals into technical decisions: what to build, what to migrate, what to leave alone. The one we bring in when a project has an awkward constraint.
-
Nina Giric
UX/UI Designer
Designs the path a procurement contact takes from a project photo to a phone call — the layout decisions that decide whether you make the bid list or get closed in eight seconds.
-
Jelena Jevremovic
UX/UI Designer
Designs interfaces where every element earns its place, focused on the certifications, safety record and project proof a general contractor scans for before anything else.
-
Darko Nikolic
Front-End & WordPress Developer
Over three years on the team, and the one who turns a sector page wireframe into a fast, accessible page that still loads on a job-site phone with two bars of signal.
-
Nikola Misic
WordPress Developer
Two-plus years on the team, focused on pixel-level fidelity. Builds the trade and location templates that let a contractor’s site grow without becoming a maintenance problem.
-
Charly Saenz
Backend Developer
Works the back end — quote requests, routing, integrations. When an RFQ reaches the right estimator without anyone re-typing it, that is this end of the build.
-
Bane Nikolic
WordPress Developer
The newest developer on the team, working across new builds and cleanup — often the one untangling an inherited site before a rebuild starts.
-
Joy Abah
Marketing Consultant
Works on positioning, and on the sectors and trades a contractor should own — mapped before a single page is written, so content targets real search demand instead of guesses.
How we work
Five habits, all of them boring.
- One point of contact from first call to handover. You never re-explain your delivery methods.
- Fixed price per phase, agreed in writing, with change orders quoted before work starts.
- Everything in your name. Domain, hosting, analytics. We get access; we do not take ownership.
- Plain reporting. If the spend has stopped earning its place, we say so rather than reformatting the dashboard.
- We finish. The most common complaint contractors have about agencies is not price. It is projects that never quite end.
What we will not do
The list is short and we mean it.
- No stock crews, no borrowed projects. We will not put a stock photo of someone else’s workers on your site and imply they are yours. Material and structure photography is fine; faking your people or your portfolio is not.
- No ranking guarantees. Nobody can make them. Anyone who does is telling you something about themselves.
- No lock-in. Leave whenever you like and take everything with you, without a conversation about it.
- No hosting hostages. Your hosting account is yours. We are a user on it, not the owner.
- No selling you what you do not need. Including telling you your current site is fine, which happens more often than you would expect.

We ask contractors to publish their certifications, their safety numbers and their real project history. It would be difficult to argue for that while being vague about our own.
Questions about us
Where are you based and who do you serve?
Calgary, Alberta. We build for contractors and builders across Canada, and adjust certification displays by province — COR administration and workers' compensation bodies differ, and getting that wrong on a site is an obvious tell.
How many people work on my project?
Usually three: one lead who is your single point of contact throughout, a designer and a developer. For content-heavy builds a writer joins in phase three. You deal with the lead.
Do you work with contractors outside construction?
Clio Websites does. This brand does not, deliberately. If you are in oil and gas or another vertical, we will point you at the right sister brand rather than pretend the playbook transfers.
What if we already have an agency?
Then you may not need us. Take the free audit anyway — if it confirms your current agency is doing good work, that is a useful thing to know, and we will tell you so plainly.
Can we see references?
Yes, on request, from contractors in a comparable sector. We ask permission before passing anyone's details along rather than listing clients as references without telling them.
Start with a straight answer.
A free audit and a forty-five minute call. If the honest conclusion is that you do not need a new website, that is what you will hear.
